It's a BOY!

On Monday we had our radiology appointment for measuring the baby and making sure that everything is going well with the health of the baby. A bonus to that appointment was finding out the gender! Our baby was not shy in telling us that HE is a BOY! :D We are super excited about this news and are already planning for the tractors and trucks that are going to fill our lives in the near future.

We will go back in mid-April for our next regular appointment with our OB-GYN. At that point he will go over the ultrasounds with us and confirm how our baby is doing. He looks great and was moving all over the place throughout the ultrasound which was fun to watch. :) Although Dude did make our radiology tech work for his paycheck this week with chasing him all over to get the pictures he needed. :)

Humpback Whale Sighting

This picture was posted the other day on the internet and I wanted to share it because of the rarity of the occasion. Wednesday or Thursday a dead Humpback Whale floated up onto the reef near Torii Beach (about 5 minutes from our house). I went down to the beach this morning to take some pictures of my own, but the military police blocked anyone from being close enough to view it. Staff from the Churaumi Aquarium came down to check it out and will be doing an autopsy to figure out the cause of death.

It is sad that the whale died, but it is probably one of the very few times that I will ever be this close to seeing one outside of an aquarium. Just thought I would share this news event with you all!

Isn't this picture fun? We had a Sweetheart Banquet on February 15th through our church. It was a lovely evening and we had a great time. There was a gentleman from church that took professional pictures for us (which I will share when we get them back) and then we also could take fun pictures at a backdrop if we chose to do so. As you can see above, we chose to! :)
