Caleb Lately...

Here are a few more pictures of Caleb of late. He is such a content baby and I'm so thankful for his sweet spirit. God has been so good to us!

2 months  old! This is probably my favorite picture
so far of Caleb. :)

We left Caleb with some friends on Friday night
and he had a great time! :)

A little serious, but still being a good boy.

2 Months Already???

It is so hard to believe that 2 months have flown by already! Truth to be told...it is almost 3 months! I'm a bit behind on my blog and keeping it updated. :( I do have a bunch of pictures on my camera that I just haven't uploaded yet. I'll get to those soon! But for now, here are some pictures that were taken in the last few weeks. We have such a big boy now!

Starting off a lovely Saturday with Mom. :)

We visited Ben at work one day. Caleb slept most of the time. :)

Happy birthday, Marines! 238 years.

Birthday Ball 2013

We are proud to announce the birth of Caleb James Schmid to the world! He was born on August 30, 2013 at 1:56am. He weighed 9 lbs 3 oz and was 21 inches long. A big baby boy! :) Here are a handful of pictures from that day.

Waiting for the contractions to get regular. :)

I'm so glad Fallon could come to the shower!
She was my neighbor in Stafford, VA.

Oh Deere!

On August 2nd my church threw a beautiful baby shower for our little Dude. Before the shower began a Japanese woman in my church gave me a wonderful prenatal massage! It was an incredible experience that I hope to experience again in the future. She did a wonderful job!

We started off the evening with a lovely dinner. It included homemade taco shell bowls (made by Emily Allison) and taco salad with a delicious punch. It was pretty awesome! After dinner we sang a group song (lyrics listed below), had special music ("I Have a Goodly Heritage") sung by Kim Anderson and Alden Antonio, played a game, April Bouldin gave her testimony, there was a hilarious skit, and then we went onto dessert and presents!

Baby Shower Song
(To the tune of "Jesus Loves Me" and written by Ramone Samples)

God made babies small and sweet,
Gave them bodies all complete;
Crying, hungry, helpless too,
Needing warmth and love so true,

(Chorus)
So God made mothers,
Sweet, gentle mothers,
Strong godly mothers
The babies dearest friend

Like your mother kind and sweet
You must guide those little feet;
Guide them in the heavenly way,
Guard them early lest they stray.

Tell them of the Savior's birth,
Of His life and death on earth;
Bathe each little life in prayer,
'Til we meet Christ in the air.

Some pictures from the shower to come in the next post! :)

Baby Shower!

On August 2nd my church is hosting a baby shower for me. It is going to be a John Deere theme (the same as we are doing in the nursery) and I am super excited about it! The following pictures are the invitations that a dear friend made for me to give to those who I'm inviting that don't attend my church. She did a great job in creating them!
