Oh Deere!

On August 2nd my church threw a beautiful baby shower for our little Dude. Before the shower began a Japanese woman in my church gave me a wonderful prenatal massage! It was an incredible experience that I hope to experience again in the future. She did a wonderful job!

We started off the evening with a lovely dinner. It included homemade taco shell bowls (made by Emily Allison) and taco salad with a delicious punch. It was pretty awesome! After dinner we sang a group song (lyrics listed below), had special music ("I Have a Goodly Heritage") sung by Kim Anderson and Alden Antonio, played a game, April Bouldin gave her testimony, there was a hilarious skit, and then we went onto dessert and presents!

Baby Shower Song
(To the tune of "Jesus Loves Me" and written by Ramone Samples)

God made babies small and sweet,
Gave them bodies all complete;
Crying, hungry, helpless too,
Needing warmth and love so true,

(Chorus)
So God made mothers,
Sweet, gentle mothers,
Strong godly mothers
The babies dearest friend

Like your mother kind and sweet
You must guide those little feet;
Guide them in the heavenly way,
Guard them early lest they stray.

Tell them of the Savior's birth,
Of His life and death on earth;
Bathe each little life in prayer,
'Til we meet Christ in the air.

Some pictures from the shower to come in the next post! :)
